BACKGROUND
Mohamad Al Garni was born and raised in Morocco. He moved to Qatar for a better life joining the Qatar military where he was guaranteed a full salary which was needed to support himself and his family. Since becoming a Qatar citizen, Mohamad has excelled for the country in the Gulf championships winning on numerous occasions. His greatest success has happened in the last 2 years. In the fall of 2014, Mohamad went to the Asian Games and won the 1500m and 5000m races!!! It was a huge set of wins for Qatar and him. He followed those wins from September with wins at the Asian Games 1500m and 5000m again. That had not been done before by a Qatar athlete.
RESULTS
13th IAAF World Junior Championships July 25, 2010 finished 7th in the 800m and 3rd in the 1500m race.
6th IAAF World Youth Championships July 13, 2009 finished 5th in the 1500m race.
2014 Asian Games September 2014. 1st in the 1500m race and 1st in the 5000m race.
2015 Asian Championships June, 2015. 1st in the 1500m race and 1st in the 500om race.
